Tiramisu Biscuit Ingredients
- Granulated sugar
- Eggs – the egg yolks create a rich ice cream
- Cream cheese – use unflavoured, full-fat cream cheese
- Cream – use full-fat for best results
- Condensed milk – use canned condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- Chocolate chips – mini chocolate chips work best
- Coffee – use strong brewed coffee or 2 teaspoons of instant coffee dissolved in a little water
Tips
- For a more pronounced tiramisu flavour, use chocolate or coffee-flavoured biscuits. Just make sure to use a flat biscuit. If the biscuit has an uneven shape, it will be difficult to cut it into smooth sandwiches.
- Add coffee liqueur to the egg yolk mixture, if you prefer.
How to Store Tiramisu Biscuits
These tiramisu ice cream sandwiches can be stored in airtight containers in the freezer for up to 1 month.
Can I Make It Ahead of Time?
This dessert is perfect for making ahead of time. Once wrapped, you can keep the dessert in the freezer for up to two weeks, until you are ready to serve it. Cut into squares just before serving.
What to Serve with Tiramisu Biscuits
These ice cream sandwiches pair brilliantly with a shot of espresso. Make them slightly more indulgent by drizzling the Tiramisu Biscuits with chocolate fudge sauce.
