Description
Crispy Burrata Flatbread with Roasted Tomatoes & Basil is an easy Mediterranean-inspired recipe featuring crispy flatbread topped with roasted garlic tomatoes, creamy burrata, melted mozzarella, fresh basil, hot honey and balsamic glaze. Perfect as a light dinner, appetizer or party dish.
Ingredients
2 naan breads or flatbreads
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
8 oz (225 g) burrata cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp hot honey or regular honey
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
1 tbsp balsamic glaze
Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the cherry tomatoes with 1 tablespoon olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, then roast for 15–18 minutes until softened and lightly caramelized.
2. Brush the flatbreads with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
3. Bake the flatbreads for 8–10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges are crispy and golden.
4. Top each flatbread with the roasted tomatoes and tear the burrata over the warm flatbreads.
5. Drizzle with hot honey and balsamic glaze, garnish with fresh basil and optional crushed red pepper flakes, then slice and serve immediately.
Notes
Use ripe cherry tomatoes for the sweetest flavor.
Add the burrata after baking to keep it creamy.
Fresh basil should be added just before serving.
Hot honey adds a delicious sweet-spicy finish, but regular honey works just as well.
Serve immediately while the flatbread is crisp and the cheese is warm.
