Crispy Flatbread with Brie, Cranberries & Toasted Walnuts with a Hot Honey Drizzle combines crisp golden flatbread with creamy melted Brie, sweet dried cranberries, crunchy toasted walnuts, and warm spicy honey for an irresistible sweet-and-savoury appetiser.
Ingredients
1 store-bought flatbread or naan, about 10–12 inches (25–30 cm)
4 oz (115 g) Brie cheese, sliced or cubed
¼ cup (35 g) dried cranberries
¼ cup (30 g) toasted walnuts, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons hot honey
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
1 tablespoon balsamic glaze, optional
Pinch of flaky sea salt
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Place the flatbread or naan on a baking sheet.
Brush the surface lightly with olive oil.
Arrange the Brie evenly over the flatbread.
Scatter the dried cranberries and toasted walnuts over the top.
Leave a small border around the edges.
Bake for 8–12 minutes, until the edges are crisp and golden and the Brie is warm and melted.
Remove the flatbread from the oven.
Immediately drizzle the hot honey evenly over the melted Brie.
Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves.
Finish with flaky sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
Slice into wedges.
Serve immediately while the Brie is warm and creamy.
Notes
Use a sturdy flatbread so it remains crisp beneath the toppings.
Toast the walnuts before adding them for deeper flavour.
Do not overload the flatbread with Brie.
Drizzle the hot honey immediately after baking.
Add balsamic glaze just before serving.
For best texture, assemble and bake shortly before serving.
